Designed as a reverse-level home the property is a 4-bay structure with four bedrooms downstairs with open plan living areas upstairs, benefitting from lovely views as well as being able to create a vaulted space in the main sitting area. This also allows for a mezzanine which serves as a study space, above the kitchen dining area.

David and Elaine’s home is oak framed in the main living areas and has a Douglas fir frame in other areas of the house such as the bedrooms. Here, the Douglas fir frame has been whitewashed for a distinctive interior design finish.

At the front of the house the space for the kitchen extends out with skylights in the roof allowing in a lot of light into the beautifully finished kitchen. The main sitting room benefits from a vaulted sling braced ceiling and a full height glazed gable end, with views of the garden and surrounding countryside.

Externally, the house has an oak framed balcony which opens out from the open plan kitchen dining area.

Expertly designed by Roderick James Architects this lovely home has a traditional oak frame and internally has been finished in a paired-back contemporary style, showcasing the oak frame.
