We have over twenty carpenters across our four yards in Devon, Cornwall, Wiltshire and Scotland. At any one point in the year we will have two to three teams on site, whilst other frames are being designed and then hand made in our workshops.

We have a vast array of case studies on our website that showcase finished domestic and commercial buildings. This page is all about the here and now at Carpenter Oak, from the drawing board, to workshops, to site.

Part of a major restoration project, we designed and made a new oak framed roof structure from Irish timber and raised it on site.  Find out more about the project here.

This large cruck frame is taking shape in our Devon yard and will form a structure that will be the kitchen space in a large new build project in Wiltshire.

Just a couple of minutes from our Devon Yard, this new build home is being delivered by Carpenter Oak Build. A complete build service that we can provide on projects dependant on their location and scope.

Once the groundworks, concrete pour and oak frame had been erected, we began encapsulating the build with SIPs panels, pre-fabricated off site.

Now encapsulated, we started work on the roof, glazing and cladding to make it wind and weathertight. Find out more about wrapping systems.

Another Complete Build project in Devon, the timelapse footage shows the frame being erected:

As well as this page, it’s worth keeping an eye on our Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest pages to find out all the latest goings on at Carpenter Oak.
