The Build It awards took place 23rd October at a glamorous gala in Swindon.
Carpenter Oak & Woodland is delighted to announce that they reached the final for the ‘Best Affordable Home’ category for the Build It 2014 awards.
The prestigious awards, which took place on 23rd October at the Swindon Hilton, aim to celebrate all aspects of self build and renovation from products to projects and give the industry the opportunity to recognise the best of the best.
Paul Kersey, Sales Director, Carpenter Oak & Woodland said: “We are delighted to have made the final for such an esteemed award. People always assume an oak framed home is an expensive option, but the cottage in the grounds of Methven Castle shows that you can build an affordable bespoke oak frame home without compromising on design.”
The home owner, David Murdoch, said of the oak frame: “The inspiration for this house was the Tudors and the frame is definitely the best feature. It’s practical, it’s aesthetically pleasing and I think the open plan nature of the gallery upstairs is wonderful.”
