I grew up outside of Kirriemuir only a 5 minute drive from the yard, I have always had a keen interest in carpentry and later studied woodwork and design throughout high school.
I was introduced to Carpenter Oak just after finishing my final year at school and I was quickly hooked. I have since been taken on as an apprentice and I am working towards my NVQ level 2 qualification in traditional timber framing. My favourite project while working at Carpenter Oak has been putting up an oak frame just outside of Stirling with amazing views across the valley.
