Located on the rugged eastern shoreline of Loch Ailort in the Scottish Highlands sits the stunning property Taigh Na Coille – meaning The Forest House in Scottish Gaelic.
Having worked with Helen Lucas Architects to build nearby Frisealach in 2007, we were again commissioned to work on this complex project in 2011. Similarly to Frisealach, it required the engineers and builders to accurately position concrete plinths on the bedrock from which we could then build a green oak base.
