Radley College Chapel roof has been shortlisted for the Wood Awards 2022 and the Structural Timber Awards 2022.
For the Wood Awards it is one of three entries in the category ‘Buildings – Interiors’ and winners will be announced on 23 November during a Winners’ Ceremony at Carpenter’s Hall.
For the Structural Timber Awards it’s one of ten entries in the category ‘Education Project of the Year’ and winners will be announced at an event on 12 October.
This complex octagonal roof structure was made at our Devon yard and unlike usual frames it was assembled in full there before being taken to site in Oxfordshire and raised up to its place within the roof.
It was one of the most complex and eye-catching structures we have ever made and we’re so pleased it’s in the running for these prestigious awards.
