What makes this five storey build interesting is the forward-thinking design approach by architects, Anderson. By combining the industrial heritage of the area with an artisan oak frame, they have created an incredible and distinctive build that’s in keeping with the unique aesthetic of Fish Island.

Despite all the challenges, the mighty frame is raised

Building in central London always brings challenges and Carpenters Wharf was no exception. We delivered the timber in phases to account for the distinct lack of space on site, which is as to be expected in an urban setting. We lifted the timbers onto the roof of the apartments before moving them into position.

The onsite erection was seamless, and even with some delays with scaffolding, we erected the oak balcony structure in three weeks.
