Combining beautiful design, craft, and bespoke engineering

The new timber home, with its open plan living area, is immersed in light during the day, whilst a cosy fire provides a focus in the evening. Within the beautifully handcrafted roof trusses, a mezzanine adds character and additional space.

The design incorporates Carpenter Oak’s signature work: bespoke architecture, and timber engineering with fully integrated glazing, insulation and finishing. The result is a natural timber construction with carpentry and craft providing the backdrop in every room.

Despite all the challenges, the mighty frame was raised

Tight timescales following planning permission, varying land-levels and constrained site access didn’t faze the team. Practical and professional skills brought Jane’s vision and the design to life on site. Regardless of the weather, Lead Carpenter Chris ensured that the project ran to schedule, with the frame taking just three days to erect.
