Seagull boathouse

Devon

The wet boathouse (at high tide!) and workshop was built for Roderick James and his family.

The boathouse uses a traditional clasped-purlin construction with queen post trusses to the workshop.

Roof of hand cleft oak shingles which should have a life of nearly twice that of cedar shingles, but offer more texture.
