Fingals Hotel - The Stream Room
Location:
Fingals Hotel near Totnes Devon
Architect:
Andras Kaldor
Frame Design:
Carpenter Oak Ltd
Details:
This very pretty, small extension to Fingals Hotel gives a light and airy room overlooking a stream, and is a favourite with guests. A simple Douglas Fir pegged frame, with straight timbers and finished with a limewash lends a contemporary, fresh, relaxing atmosphere. Using organic hemp insulation, a trombe wall for heating and hot water solar panels, the Stream Room has taken full advantage of available eco technologies.
If you are coming to visit our Show Barn and need an overnight stay, or are planning to visit Devon for a bit longer, then you could book into this room or the adjoining hotel. Fingals Hotel, a unique, luxury but very relaxed Country House Hotel is conveniently situated 'just around the corner' from Carpenter Oak.
