Architect Roger Robinson's Devon home
Location:
Marycombe, Kingsbridge, Devon
Architect:
Roger Robinson
Frame Design:
Carpenter Oak Ltd
Details:
A very handsome 2 storey traditional oak frame new home, on a sloping site, overlooking the Kingsbridge estuary, designed by Roger Robinson for himself.
A 3 bay full height barnroom extension forms the main living area with a woodburner and stone chimney breast at one end and a kitchen at the other end. 2 queen post trusses in the kitchen/dining area and a sling brace truss in the living area adding interest and a sense of height.
Externally Roger has combined painted softwood boarding with some stone cladding and render at the rear. The stone chimney is a very fine, imposing feature.
