Adam's Cabin
Location:
Dittisham, Devon
Lead Carpenter:
Alan Wood
Frame Design:
Cameron Scott of Timber Design
Job Reference:
Adam's Cabin
Details:
This cabin was designed by Cameron Scott of Timber Design and Adam Milton of Carpenter Oak. Looking for a contemporary, simple and cost effective solution for his garden, this very pretty cabin uses Douglas Fir for the frame. The roof is curved, vaulted and finished in corrugated galvanised tin. It is highly and efficiently insulated using shredded waste carpet from the local carpet mill in Buckfastleigh. For the foundations they have used the innovative Mega Anchor system, simple and cost effective.
