The brief for this new country house was to draw on the inspiration of the town 'Seaside' in Florida with a strong contemporary feel.

It replaces a derelict wood framed bungalow and has a turn-coated stainless steel roof with stainless steel wire bracing to glazed panels.

The drawing room has conventional principal rafters restrained at the feet with a stainless steel tie rather than a heavey oak tie beam.

Every bedroom has its own first floor balcony.
